In September 2023, polling showed that just 64% of Michiganders aged 18-29 saw themselves living in the "Great Lakes State" in 10 years. This evaporation of both talent and resources is deeply concerning to Michigan's future economic prospects. On Wednesday, October 11, the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University (IPPSR) held a forum exploring why Michigan's brightest and best young citizens are leaving the state and what we can do to entice them to stay.

Our guests for this event were:

• Brad Williams, Detroit Regional Chamber

• Tim Sowton, Business Leaders for Michigan

• Ryan Hundt, Michigan Works! Association
