IPPSR, along with Michigan State University Outreach and Engagement and James Madison College, is hosting a Scholars Strategy Network Michigan Chapter day-long workship on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019.

The workshop opens with check-in, a light breakfast and networking at 8:30, followed by a day of progrmming from 9 a.m. to 4  p.m.

The workshop is designed to equip researchers with knowledge and skills to make research accessible and useful to policymakers and civic leaders.

On the agenda at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center's Lincoln Room:

  • Making research helpful in policymaking.
  • Building relationships with policymakers.
  • Creating compelling research-based policy recommendations.
  • Working effectively with media.
