Gov. Jim Blanchard & Gov. John Engler
 Gov. Jim Blanchard served two terms as Michigan Governor and four terms in the U.S. Congress. Recognized for his work to attract international trade to Michigan, Blanchard was named Ambassador to Canada in 1993. He now serves as Co-Chair of the Government Affairs Practice Group for the global law firm DLA Piper. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Chrysler Group LLC. He is a Michigan State University graduate.

 Gov. John Engler served three terms as Michigan Governor and 20 years in the Michigan Legislature, including seven years as Senate Majority Leader. He now is the nation's leading advocate for U.S. manufacturers as President of the National Association of Manufacturers representing industry in all 50 states. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Delta Air Lines. He is a Michigan State University graduate.

I-96 West to Newburgh Road (173A). Follow Schoolcraft Service Drive
for 1/2 mile The Laurel Manor is on the right hand side.
From Grand Rapids/Lansing:
I-96 East to I-275 South to I-96 East (Detroit) to Newburgh/Levan
Road (173). Immediately after exiting, there is an overpass (I-96
West), turn left to cross freeway, turn left onto the Schoolcraft
Service Drive (west). Follow 1/2 mile. Laurel Manor is on the right.
The ballroom is located nearest the northeast (main) entrance
of Laurel Manor.

From Detroit/Lansing:
Travel I-96 West to I-196 West.
Depart the freeway on Ottawa/Downtown exit (77C). Turn right onto Michigan Street at the end of the ramp. The entrance to the DeVos Place parking ram is on the left just past Monroe Avenue and just before the crossing the river.

Access Details
Public parking is available under DeVos Place® by entering either on Michigan Street next to the Grand River or on Lyon Street between the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and DeVos Place®. The Lyon Street entrance is also located next to the river. Lyon Street represents the quickest access, and shortest walking distance.
For Ballroom access, park on the south end of the lot and take the elevator to the Ballroom entrance. If attending an event in DeVos Performance Hall or the DeVos Place® exhibit halls stay on the north end of the lot. The elevator is located on the Monroe Street end of the lot.
For those needing assistance or wheelchair access:
Park at the Ballroom end of the underground. Facing the entry doors (end of aisles A-C) there is a handicap entrance to the East (left). Go through that door and take the elevator to street level (level 1) that takes you to the Welsh Lobby.
